Delhi: 111 farmers preparing for hunger strike, farmer leader Dallewal's condition critical, 50 days of hunger strike completed

The ongoing farmer agitation in Delhi is continuously intensifying. In this agitation, farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal has been on a hunger strike for the last 50 days, his condition is deteriorating. Meanwhile, a group of 111 farmers dressed in black clothes will begin a hunger strike from today i.e. Wednesday.

The fast unto death will start at 2 pm, during this time all the farmers will sit peacefully near the police barricade wearing black clothes. The farmers are protesting against the central government. This fast of the farmers will be held at the Khanauri border. Regarding this, the farmer leaders said that the farmers are very emotional, and they believe that they will sacrifice themselves before Dallewal's sacrifice.

In view of the hunger strike, the administration has also made strong arrangements. Today, there is a hearing in the Supreme Court on the farmers' case. Everyone's eyes are on the farmers' hunger strike on one hand and on the Supreme Court on the other.

Farmer leader Dallewal has been on a hunger strike for the last 50 days. His condition is continuously deteriorating. Farmer leaders said that he is having difficulty even drinking water. Doctors treating Dallewal said that his health is deteriorating every day.

Farmers are protesting at Shambhu border and Khanauri border demanding legal guarantee of minimum support price for crops. Dallewal has been on hunger strike since 26 November 2024 in support of the farmers.

Along with him, the farmer leaders have warned the government that if something happens to Dallewal during the hunger strike, the government will not be able to handle the situation. Before this, Dallewal himself has reprimanded the ministers of the Punjab government.

Farmers have tried to march to Delhi several times.

Farmers have been trying to march to Delhi for a long time, but they are stopped by using force. So far, farmers have tried to march to Delhi thrice and have also held Mahapanchayats several times. Punjab was also closed by the farmers on 30 December. Farmers are adamant about their demands.
