Suryakumar Yadav, a linchpin of India's batting order in the shortest format, has been ruling the T20I batting charts for more than two years now.

His upcoming international assignment is a five-match T20I series against England at home, starting on January 22.

As per ESPNcricinfo, SKY has scored 1,016 runs at 42.33 in home T20Is.

He has breached the 50-run mark 10 times across 28 innings at home.

This includes a hundred as well. Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and KL Rahul are the other Indians with 1,000-plus runs in home T20Is.

Yadav's strike rate of 170.46 is the best among players with at least 1,000 T20I runs at home.

SKY made his Team India captaincy debut in the five-match home T20I series against Australia in November in 2023.

He led the unit from the front as India won that series 4-1.

In 2024, SKY led India to T20I series triumphs over Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and South Africa.

Overall, the Men in Blue have registered 14 wins across 17 T20Is with SKY in charge, including Super Over wins.
