There are several actors who after achieving great success in their careers find themselves working alongside the biggest stars and earning fame and fortune. However for some life takes an unexpected turn and despite their early success they vanish from the industry struggling to make ends meet. One such actor is Mirza Abbas Ali who was once one of the most promising talents in the country. He worked with major stars and earned well but eventually found himself far from the spotlight.
Mirza Abbas Alis Rise To Fame
Mirza Abbas Ali made his acting debut in the 1996 hit Kadhal Desam alongside Tabu and Vineeth. The film was a significant success and helped him carve a niche in the industry. Following this he appeared in several notable films such as Priya O Priya Rajhamsa and Raja and earned recognition for his roles. His career also saw him share the screen with renowned Bollywood celebrities like Aishwarya Rai in Kandukondain Kandukondain Madhavan and Reema Sen in Minnale and Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji in Hey Ram. He has worked in the cinema for almost two decades years before suddenly left the film industry.
His Sudden Disappearance
Mirza Abbas Ali’s father wanted him to be an engineer so the actor was studying mechanical engineering when he got into modelling. He quickly became famous in the modelling world and in 1995 he got a chance to act in Kadhal Desam. The movie was a big hit and Mirza Abbas Ali became a star almost overnight. After that he received many film offers. Later his films started failing at the box office and slowly filmmakers stopped offering him roles.
In 2015 Mirza Abbas Ali suddenly disappeared from the film industry. Reports later revealed that he had relocated to Auckland New Zealand where he struggled to find steady work. To make ends meet he took up a variety of odd jobs including working at gas stations construction sites and even as a taxi driver and toilet cleaner according to a report by News18. Apparently he went bankrupt four times during this period.
In 2023 Mirza Abbas Ali made a surprise return to Chennai expressing his interest in making a comeback to the film industry.
