Fleabag's entertaining and refreshing storyline was a big hit with viewers and critics alike who were gripped by the character's unfiltered view of reality.

The show quickly became a viral sensation as fans praised its honesty and Fleabags' fresh ability to disregard the fourth wall.

This also won over critics as the comedy-drama received widespread acclaim worldwide and dominated the 2019 award season after both seasons gained approval ratings of 100 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.

This highly coveted accomplishment is a rare achievement for British shows as Fleabag sits in the 100 percent club alongside Peaky Blinders' sixth season and season one of Derry Girls.

Phoebe, who led the cast as Fleabag and wrote and created the show, received seven Primetime Emmy Award nominations, winning three times in 2019 for Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, and Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series for the second season.

Among other awards, the show won Golden Globes for Best Television Series, while Phoebe took the gong for Best Actress in 2020.
