Meryl Williams has revealed what aspects she thinks need to change on in order for it to be a better show. The series one contestant, who won the first season in 2022, thinks there should be 'more episodes.'
Speaking exclusively to Express Online on behalf of , Meryl opened up about her original experience on the BBC show and what she would like to see in the future.
When quizzed what changes she would like to see, she responded: "Only to have more episodes! There is such a long gap, having the weekend in between the shows. Then you have to wait until Wednesday.
"But I think they're doing really well, they've done amazing. They are definitely learning a lot. They have also put more budget into this season than they did in season one."
Meryl isn't the only person who has voiced their concerns over this. Many fans have taken to social media to complain over the latest series as viewers have to wait five days from Friday night until they see the next episode.
One fan commented: "So have I got this right - we have to wait until next WEDNESDAY for another episode of The Traitors? Inconceivable."
Similarly, another person chimed in: "Can we just all agree that should be on every night. Like NO WAY should we have to wait until Wednesday for the next episode."
A third also said: "I'm sorry but having to wait from Friday night to Wednesday night for the next episode of The Traitors is just unacceptable."
Meryl also opened up about how she originally applied for the show. She confessed: "I got a message in my DMs! I was initially meant to be on The Circle, however they ended up doing a US version instead of UK. But, because the producers were the same, I think they still had my name on the books so someone got in touch with me."
She also gave her thoughts on the Traitors contestants this year, despite one having already been caught. Meryl said: "I've enjoyed how we've had two good women traitors.
"Obviously we had Harry last year, and Wilf in our season who were both good traitors. I think they've been really strong. They've also learnt a lot from the previous seasons and they are trying hard not to repeat the same mistakes as before. Especially Minah, she's playing it really well!"
The Traitors resumes on BBC One on Wednesday 15 January at 9pm.
