Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced recruitment for 32438 posts under Group D. According to the details shared, the application process for this recruitment will start on 23 January 2025 and will be completed by 22 February 2025. Before the application for recruitment starts, the educational qualification for Level 1 posts has also been changed by the Railways, under which now only 10th pass will be able to participate in this recruitment. In such a situation, the youth dreaming of getting a government job in the Railways will be able to fill out the form on the given dates as soon as the application starts.
Now 10th pass is also eligible to apply.
According to the notification issued by RRB, to apply for Group D posts, now it is mandatory for the candidates to have passed 10th / Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognized board/institute. ITI diploma was now mandatory for Level-1 posts but now it has been abolished.
Recruitment Details
According to the short notification issued by the Railways, a total of 32438 posts will be filled through this recruitment. Post wise, 5058 posts are reserved for Pointsman (B), 799 posts for Assistant (Track Machine), 301 posts for Assistant (Bridge), 13,187 posts for Track Maintainer Grade IV Engineering, 257 posts for Assistant (P-Way), 2,587 posts for Assistant (C&W), 1,381 posts for Assistant TRD Electrical, 2012 posts for Assistant (S&T), 420 posts for Assistant Loco Shed (Diesel), 950 posts for Assistant Loco Shed (Electrical), 744 posts for Assistant Operations (Electrical), 1041 posts for Assistant TL&AC, 624 posts for Assistant TL&AC (Workshop) and 3077 posts are reserved for Assistant (Workshop- Mechanical).
How will the selection be done for Group D posts?
To get selected for RRC Group D recruitment, candidates will first have to go through a Computer Based Test (CBT-1). Candidates who will be successful in this exam will be able to participate in the next stage of recruitment, CBT 2. After CBT 2, qualified candidates will be invited for document verification and medical examination. Finally, the final list of candidates will be prepared according to all the stages and successful candidates will be given appointments.
