Maha Kumbh Mela 2025: Air India To Operate Daily Flights From Delhi To Prayagraj

As the Maha Kumbh Mela progresses further, bringing stories and visuals of spirituality and devotion, some good news for pilgrims travelling to the holy city has come to pass.

Daily Flights To Prayagraj

Air India, India's second-largest airline, has announced that it will offer daily flights from the capital city, Delhi, to Prayagraj, in Uttar Pradesh, where the grand gathering is happening.

The airline is slated to run these services from January 25 to February 28, nearly for a month, almost for the entirety of the festivities that are held every 12 years.

It is not just travellers from all around India, but this is set to benefit other visitors from around the globe as well.

Visitors and devotees from North America, Europe, Australia, and Southeast Asia, can now seamlessly reach Prayagraj to attend the Maha Kumbh.

Both pilgrims and visitors will have an easy trip thanks to the airline schedule's daytime departures in both directions.

Apart from Air India, IndiGo, Akasa Air SpiceJet and Alliance Air are also operating flights service from various destinations to Prayagraj.

The Maha Event

The Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 which officially started on January 13 will conclude on February 26.

The event is expecting to see a sea of devotees flow into the temple town. Many from across the border, including foreign visitors are already in the city.

Some famous names are also in the city. Steve Jobs' widow, Laurene Powell Jobs is also in the city for the holy visit. She is expected to be there at the Maha Kumbh for 17 days. The event is happening on a large scale, as the mega event has a mammoth budget of over Rs 7,000 crore.
