Lachha Paratha Recipe

Different from traditional parathas, Lachcha Paratha is a great side dish recipe. This North Indian paratha is quite popular in many Indian households. Served with any main dish of your choice for lunch or dinner, this paratha can be prepared in no time. The ingredients used to make this paratha are wheat flour, refined oil, salt and water. You can make this for Sunday breakfast with your family. This crispy paratha is perfect to be served with Kadhai Paneer, Palak Paneer, Dal Makhani and many other dishes. It complements many such dishes and keeps you feeling full for a long time. This recipe looks a bit difficult but if you follow the steps carefully it will be fine. Pack it in your child's tiffin and give them something different from the usual parathas. You can serve it at kitty parties, buffets and potlucks. so what are you waiting for? 1 1/2 cups wheat flour

water as required

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup refined oil Step 1

To make this delicious paratha, take a large bowl and mix wheat flour, salt and oil in it. Add water as required and knead the dough. Keep aside for about half an hour.

Step 2

Take a small portion of the dough and make round balls from it. Flatten the dough with your hands and apply oil on one side and sprinkle some flour on it.

Roll it out as thin as possible and sprinkle some flour again. Then, start folding it starting from the edges.

Once done, stretch the pleated dough and roll it into a circle. Sprinkle more flour and roll it into a thin disc using a rolling pin.

Step 5

Heat the pan on medium flame and place the paratha on it and apply some oil on the edges and let the paratha cook.

Step 6

Then, flip it to the other side and repeat the same process and the paratha is ready.
