Former defender has opened up a property firm in Dubai after beginning to move away from football to become an entrepreneur.

Sakho played at Anfield between 2013 and 2017 but eventually found himself out of favour under former boss , who accused him of lacking "respect" before sending him to .

He went on to play 75 times for the Eagles before a difficult period at Montpellier, where he left the team after a reported bust-up with his manager Michel Der Zakarian in training.

Sakho, now 34, joined Georgian minnows Torpedo Kutaisi last summer but has shown he is slowly phasing out his football career by starting a new company Sakho & Co in Dubai, with a subsidiary called Sakho Properties, where he will focus on selling luxury houses in the Middle East.

The veteran player regularly posts videos of himself walking round the glitzy properties while wearing sunglasses and rubbing shoulders with celebrities and sports stars like , Bacary Sagna and ex-Liverpool team-mate Christian Benteke.

In one of his videos, where Sakho is pictured at his launch party, he says: "It is finally time to share a project that unites my passion for with my entrepreneurial spirit.

"A spirit that has been forged and enriched in recent years and to which every minute of my free time has been dedicated.

"I can't wait to introduce you to Sakho & Co, an ecosystem that offers a complete range of interconnected services designed to support entrepreneurs, investors and individuals looking for tailor-made solutions!"

According to a report from the Daily Mail, Sakho Properties primarily operates in Dubai, Marrakech, Senegal and Paris, with one five-bed waterfront villa selling in Dubai's Palm Jumeirah for around £9.6million.

Sakho has played just 13 times for Torpedo Kutaisi but is clearly focusing more on his property endeavours now - after growing frustrated with club football after he left Montpellier in 2023.

After he reportedly rowed with his manager Der Zakarian after not being given a foul in training, he wrote on social media: "You have to know how to leave the table when respect is no longer served. Following the incident which took place last week at the training centre and for which I decline all responsibility, I decided... to end my collaboration with Montpellier."
