In a briefing after the cabinet meeting, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that PM Narendra Modi has approved the formation of the 8th Pay Commission for central government employees. It is to be implemented from next year, but a commission will be formed soon for this. The names of its chairman and two members will also be announced soon.

The 7th Pay Commission was formed in 2016

Central employees are currently paid salary according to the 7th Pay Commission, which was formed in 2016. Now the 8th Pay Commission will be implemented from 2026. For this, suggestions, recommendations, etc. should come in time, so it will be formed soon. It will have a chairman and two members whose names will be announced soon.

Approval to third launch pad in Sriharikota

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that the Cabinet has approved the third launch pad in Sriharikota. It will be modern. This will be helpful for the next-generation launch vehicle. On this launch pad, the rocket can be laid down, assembled and stood back upright. It will cost Rs 3985 crore. Its capacity will be more than the earlier two launch pads.

Work will be completed in 48 months

According to the Union Minister, the work of the third launch pad in Sriharikota will be completed in the next 48 months. It will be prepared keeping in mind the next 30 years. In future, ISRO is going to launch the Manav Chandrayaan mission, this launch pad will also be used in that.
