The facility to travel in some trains was already available

Under LTC, central government employees already got a chance to travel in Duronto Express, Rajdhani Express and Shatabdi Express. On traveling in these trains, the employee used to get the benefit of leave as well as ticket reimbursement. Now Vande Bharat, Tejas and Humsafar trains have also been added to this list.

Purpose and benefits of LTC

The purpose of LTC is to provide paid leave and ticket reimbursement to employees during holidays to travel to their hometown or other parts of India. This facility is available to central government employees under the 7th Pay Commission. This provides financial help to the employees during travel, which is helpful in maintaining balance in their work.

42 days leave on donating organs

Apart from this, the central government has given another gift to the employees who donate organs. Organ donation is a major surgery, so the government has decided to give 42 days special leave to the employees to promote this noble work. This leave will be given to those employees who donate organs.
