January 17, Amaravati Early on Friday, a bus carrying passengers collided with a stopped vehicle close to Chittoor town in Andhra Pradesh, killing four people and injuring twenty-five.
A private transport bus collided with a roadside tipper truck in Gangasagaram, causing the disaster.
The incident caused Sri Renganathan Travels’ bus to topple over. Twenty-two people were hurt, and four passengers perished instantly.
Passengers trapped on the bus were rescued by police who raced to the scene. The 108 ambulance service sent the wounded to CMC Vellore and Naruvi Hospital in nearby Tamil Nadu.
It was reported that several of the wounded were in serious condition.
The bus was traveling from Tirupati to Madurai with 40 people on board.
Traffic on National Highway 40 was backed up as a consequence of the collision. The bus was lifted from the scene of the collision using a crane.
Officials said that after praying at the Sri Venkateswara temple in Tirumala, a group of devotees was taking a private bus back to Madurai.
Ramprasad Reddy, the state transport minister for Andhra Pradesh, expressed sorrow over the collision in Chittoor. He expressed his deepest sympathies to the departed’s families.
The Transport Minister gave health department authorities instructions to make sure the wounded received the best care possible.
In order to avoid traffic accidents, Ramprasad Reddy recommended people to drive carefully.
In the meanwhile, a traffic accident in Hyderabad claimed the lives of a mother and her daughter, who was three years old. A truck struck a motorcycle near Bandlaguda, causing the disaster. The girl was riding on pillion with Rukhsana Begum, who passed away instantly. Both the biker and his youngster suffered injuries. Police arrived quickly and took the victims to the hospital. For an autopsy, the remains were brought to Osmania Hospital. Police opened an investigation and filed a complaint. —
