It can be time-consuming to always think about what you're going to feed your family, and it can also be seriously costly.
That's where @mealsbymitch comes in, as he wants to make meals that are full-on when it comes to , but that are also affordable. He said that so many people have been messaging him, asking him for a "fiver series," and as part of this, he made a £4.87 chicken and chorizo traybake. And all you need is six ingredients to make it delicious.
He cut up some potatoes and put them on a tray, then whacked the chicken thighs on top, generously drizzled with olive oil. Mitch then it with salt and pepper, as he asked: "Who can be a***d to throw a banquet together after work?"

He said that the traybake was "a nice way to get everyone fed on the cheap by just dashing some ingredients on a tray," as he poured some paprika seasoning all over the chicken and potatoes.
Mitch told people to "whack it in the oven on 180 for 45 minutes" to cook the chicken through thoroughly. He then added onions and peppers, and "a pack of sliced chorizo," then told people to "whack it back in the oven for 15 minutes," and then voila - it's ready to serve.
Mitch shared that he'd put "a bit of optional green on there to make it look pretty" as he "spooned over those tray juices".
"And there you have it," he gushed, as he showed off the final result, which looked very tasty, and would serve four if you wanted a whole chicken leg.
In the comments, someone praised chicken legs for how cheap they are, writing: "Can't beat chicken legs for value. Got some in the slow cooker right now. Thighs are fab, too. I buy the ones with bones and skin still on, and prep them myself. much cheaper than pre-prepped ones."
Another wrote: "Don't wanna sound silly but wanna do more cooking like this, do you just chop the potatoes? Not boil them first?"
Mitch replied: "Didn't boil them no, just straight onto the tray. They're in the oven an hour so cooked completely through". A dad penned: "Made this tonight for my lot with spicy rice and corn on the cob, went down a treat, cheers pal".
Another dad said: "This is proper nice make some variation of it every week. Kids love it."
