Hyundai Motor India Unveils Creta EV at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025

Hyundai Motor India launched the Creta EV at an introductory price of ₹17.99 lakh, offering a 437 km range with 171 PS and 255 Nm of torque. Its pixelated design features active air flaps, while the spacious interior includes a virtual cockpit, eco-friendly upholstery, an 8-way powered seat, a 433L boot, and a 221L frunk.

Equipped with ADAS-linked regenerative braking, a digital key, and a Bose sound system, it supports Hyundai’s Blue Link app. With over 1.1 million Creta units already on the road, the EV variant reinforces Hyundai’s leadership in sustainable mobility, backed by plans for 10,000 charging ports across India.

Hero MotoCorp Launches New Scooters and Motorcycles

At the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, Hero MotoCorp India launched its latest range of scooters and motorcycles, showcasing innovation and versatility. The lineup includes the XOOM 125 scooter, priced from ₹86,000, and the XOOM 160, available in four colors starting at ₹1,48,500.

On the motorcycle front, the Xpulse 210 is introduced in two variants and four colors, starting at ₹1,75,800, while the Xtreme 250 R comes in a single variant with three color options, priced from ₹1,79,900. Bookings for these models will begin in February, with deliveries scheduled to commence in March.

Maruti Suzuki India Unveils e-Vitara: Suzuki’s First Global BEV

Suzuki unveiled the e-Vitara, its first global strategic battery electric vehicle (BEV) at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 on Friday. Built on the exclusive HEARTECT-E platform, designed specifically for EVs, the e-Vitara represents a pivotal step in Suzuki's 10-year tech strategy. India has been established as the global manufacturing hub, with production slated to begin at the Gujarat plant following an investment of over ₹2,100 crore. The e-Vitara will be exported to more than 100 countries, including Europe and Japan, showcasing its global ambitions.

To enhance customer satisfaction, the e-Vitara features an advanced BEV system, smart home chargers, and fast charging support in the top 100 cities during phase one of its rollout. A dedicated mobile app will provide seamless connectivity and control, while round-the-clock roadside assistance (RSA) will ensure peace of mind for customers across India. This unveiling underscores Suzuki’s commitment to delivering sustainable and innovative mobility solutions.

Government's Push for Electric Mobility: Over 16 Lakh EVs Supported Through FAME-II Scheme

Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the government is actively making policy decisions to expand electric mobility. He highlighted that the FAME-II scheme, launched five years ago, has provided subsidies exceeding ₹8,000 crore. This initiative facilitated the development of charging infrastructure, supporting over 16 lakh EVs, including more than 5,000 electric buses. In Delhi alone, over 1,200 electric buses are currently operating, provided by the Indian Government.

PM Narendra Modi Innaugurates the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025

The Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday at Bharat Mandapam. The inauguration took place in the presence of Union ministers Nitin Gadkari, H D Kumaraswamy, Jitan Ram Manjhi, Manohar Lal, Piyush Goyal, and Hardeep Singh Puri, along with leaders from the automobile sector.

New Delhi: The Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 will be highlighted by a focus on electric vehicles, with global EV makers such as Vietnam’s VinFast and China’s BYD Motor making their debut. The first electric vehicle by Maruti Suzuki, the e Vitara SUV, will be unveiled, and the electric Creta will be launched by Hyundai. The event is set to be innaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

An innovative G-Turn feature in the electric G Wagon by Mercedes Benz will be showcased in its experience zone, with the vehicle priced at ₹3 crore. The fastest MG Roadster, the Cyberster, will be highlighted by JSW MG Motor. 

For the first time, free entry will be provided on all public days starting January 19. Over five lakh visitors, including approximately 5,100 international participants, are expected to attend across three venues: Bharat Mandapam, Yashobhoomi, and India Expo Centre & Mart. Alongside vehicle displays, connected vehicles and autonomous driving technologies will be featured in the Tech Pavilion.
