One-way fares, which were earlier INR 2,977 have touched INR 17,796 when booked 30 days in advance during the festival period from January 13 to February 26, 2025.
Other cities, such as Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, are also experiencing major fare hikes—21%, 13%, and 89%, respectively. For example, a one-way ticket from Mumbai to Prayagraj has reached INR 27,000 on high-demand dates like January 27.
Air connectivity to Prayagraj has improved amazingly since the last Maha Kumbh 12 years ago, with over 20 direct and one-stop flights now available from multiple destinations. This has contributed to a 162% rise in flight bookings to the city for the event.
