Babar Azam get dismissed Virat Kohli style; fans troll batter

While Pakistan's Babar Azam is often compared to India's Virat Kohli, be it in terms of gameplay or record-breaking achievements, it now seems that the former is also imitating the KING in his mode of dismissal. Babar Azam, who had a decent outing with the bat in the Test series against South Africa, was expected to replicate his heroics against West Indies.

However, like the other batters, he too struggled against the West Indies bowlers as Jayden Seales dismissed him with a brilliant outswinger.

Same as Virat Kohli

His dismissal soon drew comparisons to that of Virat Kohli's during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) series. Kohli repeatedly got out to deliveries outside the off stump in the BGT, which drew criticism.

Now, Babar Azam has fallen in a similar fashion. Seales bowled a well-placed delivery that pitched on a good length, touched the outside off, and edged toward the slip cordon. Babar failed to move his feet properly, allowing the wicketkeeper to take an easy catch. He was dismissed for 8 off 20 balls.

Fans troll Babar Azam

While Indian fans trolled him, Pakistani fans also questioned his decision to ask for a review, which ended up being wasted. Many on X (formerly Twitter) criticized the dismissal.

One user wrote, "The AUDACITY to review this dismissal. Babar Azam needs to be humbled. ENOUGH is ENOUGH. We don't need this liability anymore."

Another wrote, "Babar Azam failed again."

About PAK vs WI

The first Test match began late due to dense fog, with West Indies' fast bowlers dominating the early proceedings. In an effort to prepare the pitch, Multan's curators employed the greenhouse effect and gas heaters to dry the surface, resulting in noticeable turn from Day 1.

At stumps, Pakistan stood at 143 for 4 in 41.3 overs, with Mohammad Rizwan (51 off 80) and Saud Shakeel (56 off 100) keeping the team's hopes alive for a strong performance on Day 2.
