Rajasthan Weather: Winter havoc in Rajasthan, IMD issued fog alert for 19 districts

Rajasthan Weather: The effect of cold continues in Rajasthan. Winter havoc continues in most parts of the state and is covered in a blanket of fog. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), dense fog and cold day were recorded in Bikaner, Jaipur, Kota and Bharatpur divisions on Friday. Cold day and dense fog are likely in some more places in the next 2-3 days. There may be a slight increase in temperature on Saturday.

Temperature dropped on Friday
On Friday, the minimum temperature fell below 10 degrees Celsius in many major cities of the state. The morning temperature in Jaipur was recorded at 7.8 degrees Celsius. The temperature dropped further due to dense fog in many parts of the state. Dense fog prevailed in some areas of Bikaner, Jaipur, Kota and Bharatpur divisions. At the same time, the maximum temperature in Barmer was 25.4 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature in Sirohi was 3.8 degrees Celsius.

Temperature in other districts
The minimum temperature also fell in other parts of the state. Ajmer recorded 6.9 degrees, Alwar 7.5 degrees, Sikar 4.0 degrees, Pilani 6.4 degrees, Jalore 6.8 degrees and Mount Abu 0.8 degrees Celsius.

Fog alert for 19 districts
The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for dense fog in 19 districts of Rajasthan. These include Hanumangarh, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Ganganagar, Churu, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Nagaur, Jodhpur, Pali, Jalore, Tonk, Bundi, Ajmer, Sawai Madhopur, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Kota and Bharatpur districts.

Weather of the coming days
According to Jaipur Meteorological Center, a new western disturbance will become active on January 21-22, due to which light rain may occur in the northwestern and northeastern parts of the state.
