New Delhi: The Indian womens cricket team achieved a historic milestone in the third ODI against Ireland securing an overwhelming 304-run victory to complete a 3-0 series sweep. This dominant win marked Indias largest-ever margin in an ODI surpassing their previous record of 249 runs set against Ireland in Potchefstroom eight years ago. Remarkably all eight women’s ODIs with a margin of over 300 runs have come against Ireland.
Outstanding Batting Performance
India’s opening pair Pratika Rawal and Smriti Mandhana displayed exceptional batting prowess forging a remarkable 233-run partnership. Pratika Rawal scored a brilliant 154 runs off 129 balls including 20 fours and a six marking her maiden ODI century. Smriti Mandhana was equally explosive smashing 135 runs off 80 balls featuring seven powerful sixes. Richa Ghosh’s rapid 59 further strengthened India’s total pushing them to an imposing 435/5.
Ireland Struggles Against India’s Bowling Attack
In response Irelands batting line-up failed to cope with India’s dominant bowling performance collapsing for just 131 runs. Deepti Sharma was the standout bowler taking three wickets while Tanuja Kanwar claimed two.
