Rohit Sharma and Ajit Agarkar had attended a press conference to announce the squads for Champions Trophy 2025. The selectors decided to take Rishabh Pant over Sanju Samson, to which fans have gone very angry and have been making posts on social media questioning and criticising this decision by the BCCI.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) chief selector picked a 15-member squad for the Champions Trophy 2025, set to begin February 19. Wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson, who is in his peak form, missed the spot from the squad as selectors picked Rishabh Pant for the role in the mega event.

Soon after the announcements of the squads, Samson’s fans went to social media and slammed BCCI for picking Pant over Samson. Here are some of the reactions.

Sanju Samson, who was part of the Indian squad in the T20 World Cup 2024, will now be seen in action in the five-match T20I series against England, which is going to begin January 22.
