Carol Decker, the renowned lead singer of 80s group T'Pau, has confessed she was 'gutted' to be eliminated from The Masked Singer so early.

She was revealed as Tattoo on Saturday night's episode, a result that sparked outrage online. Despite delivering a stellar performance of The Killers' Human, Carol failed to secure enough votes from the studio audience.

Following the public vote, Carol's Tattoo character faced off against Dressed Crab in the sing-off, with many viewers speculating her competitor to be soul star Gregory Porter.

Both singers showcased their impressive vocals, with Carol giving it her all with a rendition of Proud Mary. However, the panel decided to send Tattoo home, leading to Carol unveiling her identity.

Although she seemed to take her elimination in stride on the show, performing a final reprise of Human, she admitted post-show that she wasn't ready to leave, stating: "I've loved it and I'm going to say, I'm gutted! Everybody is amazing. I'm gutted because it's the best fun ever."

Although Carol is a huge fan of The Killers and Human, she wasn't thrilled about singing it again so soon, reports .

Meanwhile, many viewers at home were shocked that she was eliminated, including one who expressed their disappointment on X, saying: "Gutted to see Tattoo leave - wish we could have heard more from her! Carol Decker sounding better than ever - brought the house down with that unmistakable amazing arena-filling voice."
