Jomel Warrican broke 66 years old record on Pakistan soil, became the first WI bowler to do so

Jomel Warrican Pakistan Record: West Indies left-arm spinner Jomel Warrican created history with his excellent bowling in the second innings of the first Test match against Pakistan at the Multan Cricket Stadium. Warrican took 7 wickets for just 32 runs in 18 overs. With this bowling performance he made a special record in his name.

He has become the first West Indies bowler to take 5 or more wickets in a Test innings on Pakistan soil. He has broken a 66 year old record in this matter. Earlier in the year 1959, West Indies spinner Sunny Ramadhin had taken 4 wickets for 25 runs in an innings while playing a Test on Pakistan soil.

Apart from this, this is the third best bowling performance by a foreign bowler on Pakistani soil. In 1985, Sri Lanka's Ravi Ratnayake took 8 wickets for 83 runs and in 1983, Pakistan's Kapil Dev took 8 wickets for 85 runs.

He has become the third left-arm spinner from West Indies to take 10 or more wickets in a Test match. Let us tell you that Warrican had taken 3 wickets in his account in the first innings. Before him, only Alf Valentine and Gudakesh Moti were able to do this. Due to the lead in the first innings, the host team set a target of 251 runs for West Indies. Let us tell you that Pakistan had batted first and scored 230 runs, in response to which West Indies scored 137 runs. Pakistan had got a significant lead of 93 runs on the basis of first innings.
