Officials advised that in the event of a gas cylinder fire, people should try to maintain the cylinder upright, leave the area, and use a wet cloth or fire extinguisher to put out the fire while also preventing any gas leaks.

Additionally, until emergency personnel came and assisted people in leaving the area, residents were advised to do all in their power to combat the fire.
