Following Trump’s promise to restore access to TikTok, which had ceased operations in the US on Saturday night in order to adhere to the Biden administration’s prohibition order, this situation has occurred.

“In accordance with our service providers, TikTok is in the process of restoring service,” the company said in a post on X on Sunday. We appreciate President Trump giving our service providers the clarification and guarantee they won’t be penalized for giving TikTok to more than 170 million Americans and enabling the success of more than 7 million small enterprises.”

It is a resounding defense of the First Amendment and an opposition to capricious censorship. The tweet also said, “We will collaborate with President Trump to find a sustainable solution that keeps TikTok in the US.”

On Truth Social, Donald Trump declared his intention to sign an executive order on Monday that would postpone the implementation of the TikTok ban for ninety days.

“Businesses, please don’t let TikTok remain black! In order to reach an agreement to safeguard our national security, he said, “I will issue an executive order on Monday to extend the period of time before the law’s prohibitions take effect,” according to ANI.

“The order will also certify that any business that assisted in preventing TikTok from going down prior to my order would not be held liable. Along with other activities and discussions, Americans deserve to see our thrilling inauguration on Monday,” he said.

Additionally, he presented a plan for the US to control 50% of a joint venture that included TikTok.

In a joint enterprise, I would prefer that the US own a 50% ownership stake. By doing this, we preserve TikTok, ensure its safety, and let it continue to exist. TikTok wouldn’t exist without US clearance. It is worth hundreds of billions, if not trillions, with our consent,” he said, according to ANI.

“Therefore, my initial thought is a joint venture between the current owners and/or new owners whereby the US gets a 50 percent ownership in a joint venture set up between the US and whichever purchase we so choose,” he said to ANI.

CNN stated that only hours before legislation prohibiting the app was about to go into effect, TikTok went down in the US on Saturday night (local time).

“Sorry, TikTok isn’t available right now,” was the message shown to users who attempted to use the site. In the US, legislation prohibiting TikTok has been passed. You are sadly unable to use TikTok at this time.

The prohibition comes after a Supreme Court decision on Friday maintained a statute signed by US President Joe Biden in April and enacted by Congress with bipartisan backing.

CNN reports that until TikTok is acquired by a US-based or affiliated business, the legislation forbids US corporations from hosting or providing material for the Chinese-owned site.
