Addressing a cheering crowd, Trump declared, “I got Mel Gibson, Sylvester Stallone, and Jon Voight to become ambassadors to Hollywood, California, to put it back on track. You have to refer to them as ambassadors, ‘Mr. Ambassador.’” The appointment, he explained, aims to restore the film industry to its former glory, which he claims has been undermined by international competition in recent years.

In a post on his Truth Social platform days prior, Trump elaborated on his vision: “Hollywood has lost much business over the last four years to foreign countries. With the help of these three talented individuals, it will be BIGGER, BETTER, AND STRONGER THAN EVER BEFORE! They will be my eyes and ears, ushering in a new Golden Age of Hollywood.”

Jon Voight, a longtime Trump supporter, took the rally stage ahead of the announcement, describing Trump’s victory as “the greatest win of all time.” Reflecting on Hollywood’s evolution, Voight shared his optimism about its potential revival. “I’ve seen the industry deteriorate over the years, but with President Trump’s commitment, I believe we can rebuild its greatness.”

Mel Gibson, known for his vocal support of Trump, was taken by surprise by the announcement, admitting, “I got the tweet at the same time as all of you… Nevertheless, I heed the call. Any chance this position comes with an ambassador’s residence?”

Trump’s vision for Hollywood aligns with his broader agenda of restoring American industries. Stallone, who once likened Trump to George Washington, and Voight, who has called him “the greatest president since Lincoln,” join Gibson in an advisory capacity to the president. Together, they aim to re-establish Hollywood as the global epicenter of entertainment production.
