Tottenham's poor 2024/25 season continued on Sunday. It is now just two wins in the last 13 matches in the , with the slipping to 15th in the table after a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Everton at Goodison Park.

They are the lowest ranked London club in the league and closer to the relegation zone than the top half.

There are only two weeks of the January transfer window remaining for , Johan Lange and others to give him that help. Here takes a look at what could happen between now and the closure of the transfer window at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Postecoglou sacked

First and foremost we should start with the head coach himself, who may not be around to bear the fruits of any transfer window action in the final two weeks of the window.

There have been calls for Postecoglou to be sacked from various parts of the fanbase since the defeat to Ipswich at home at the beginning of November. Those calls have only intensified over the last two months given the poor run of form in the Premier League.

Managers have been sacked for much better than 15th in the table, which is an atrocious position for a club like Tottenham to be in.

Tottenham face Hoffenheim in the Europa League on Thursday, before a huge clash with Leicester City at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Elfsborg in the Europa League follow that, with a trip to Brentford the day before the transfer window closes.

Two more games without a win and the Australian may not be the man chosen to turn things around in N17.

Jonathan David move

Tottenham were interested in signing Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain, but it looks as though the forward will sign for Juventus instead.

With Dominic Solanke picking up a knee injury in training and Richarlison only just returning from injruy, a forward signing is imperative in the coming days.

"There will be urgency [in the transfer market] but it doesn't need me to say it, everybody can see that," Postecoglou said after the defeat to Everton. "I have no issues with how the club are going about it, they are working hard and trying to find solutions.

"These players need help and hopefully over the next 10 days or so we'll find a solution. It is really tricky, we're not the only ones in the market. The club are trying hard."

Jonathan David is a name that has regularly been linked with Spurs and as the second top scorer in Ligue Un he could be a perfect addition to the team. Not only that, but he will come cheap too, given he is out of contract at Lille in the summer.

Daniel Levy may want to wait to sign him for free in the summer, but Spurs need signings now and a small sum of money now could get a deal done and give Postecoglou and Solanke the help he so desperately needs.

Defender deal

Tottenham's biggest problems this season on the injury front have been in defence. Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero remain sidelined, although they are close to returns, while Destiny Udogie is also out. Ben Davies has spent time on the sidelines, but returned against Everton while in goal Guglielmo Vicario is also out.

A defender signing should have been the first thing Spurs did in the transfer window, as well as signing Antonin Kinsky in goal. But 20 days in, no new defenders have arrived.

With Romero and van de Ven likely to be back in the next week or so, it may well be that a deal does not get done now, with any arrival likely to take a watching brief once that duo are back out on the pitch. But that would signify a huge failing on Spurs' part behind the scenes and would only serve to necessitate a move in the summer.

Milan-based duo Fikayo Tomori and Milan Skriniar have both been linked with a move, but nothing has come to fruition yet.
