Taylor Swift and WNBA icon Caitlin Clark hit it off during a Kansas City Chiefs game as the pair were spotted deep in conversation, a spectacle that caught the attention of body language guru Judi James who shared her insights. Swift, known for her string of hit albums, had invited the Indiana Fever guard to join her after finding out Clark was a massive Chiefs supporter and had attended various concerts on Swift's Eras Tour.

Despite initially sitting separately at the game which the Chiefs clinched 23-14, they were later seen together, evidently engrossed in a convivial exchange.

Body language expert James told the : "Taylor is clearly using the kind of body language signals here that will send off bonds of (new) friendship. She appears to be adopting a hosting approach to Caitlin and instigating most of the conversation, and she does so in a way that will make Caitlin look and feel like a friend.

"The two women sit in mirrored poses here, both hunched forward in their seats to enjoy the game in an expression of anticipation. Taylor uses eye contact and face-checking signals on Caitlin, and when she talks to her, the leaning-in and the placing of her hand over her mouth in a shield looks intended to suggest they are having a fun, private conversation together."

According to James: "The hand-shield gesture is partly practical if Taylor wants to avoid any lip-reading, but it also takes a conversation to a rather giggly, youthful friendship level as well."

It appears Clark was a touch overwhelmed by Swift's presence, as body language expert James points out. "Caitlin looks less confident and more polite here, with less use of eye contact, suggesting she might feel a little shy in Taylor's presence," James observed.

"Although it seems an animated Taylor is doing everything to make her feel more relaxed here."

This encounter is the first recorded meeting between Swift and Clark. Although it's not clear if they knew each other before the Texans-Chiefs game, Clark had previously met Kelce at one of Swift's concerts, as the Kansas City player revealed last year.

A self-professed admirer of Swift, Clark shared on Kelce's 'New Heights' podcast how she took her mother to Swift's concert due to her mom's insistence: "My mom was begging me to take her. She was like, 'I gotta go, everybody is talking about it.' I'm like, 'OK, OK,' I turned my mom into a full Swiftie. Two of my cousins were there. Good time! ".
