The facility of getting birth and death certificates to people through WhatsApp is going to start soon in Andhra Pradesh. The Andhra Pradesh government will provide birth and death certificates through WhatsApp as part of its “WhatsApp Governance Service”. This information was given by Chief Secretary K Vijayanand on Monday.
K Vijayanand said on Monday that a pilot project for this service will be organized this month in Tenali town of Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh, so that the process of the service can be known. He further said that as per the objectives of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, the state government will soon start providing WhatsApp governance service to the people. Due to this, people will soon be able to get birth and death certificates through WhatsApp.
On Monday, a review meeting was held at the Real Time Governance Society (RTGS) office with officials of several departments regarding the process of this service. K Vijayanand emphasized that the Chief Minister's aim is to make government services better and more convenient by starting WhatsApp governance. He has asked officials of RTGS and related departments to speed up the process.
He also directed the Panchayati Raj, Health and Municipal Administration departments to provide full cooperation to the RTGS officials to make this initiative successful. In such a situation, getting birth certificate and death certificate on WhatsApp will make it easier for people and they will not have to visit offices. Earlier, Andhra Pradesh government had started such a facility for farmers. The facility to sell their paddy easily through WhatsApp (number 7337359375) was started. Due to this, they did not have to visit the markets to sell their produce.
