The Maharashtra Board has decided to withdraw the Mention Caste Category section in the admit card. The decision was taken after facing opposition from various sections.
Big news has come out regarding the admit card of the Maharashtra Board Exam. In a significant development, the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has removed the 'Category Section' part from the hall tickets of classes 10th and 12th this year. The decision has been taken after criticism from various sections. Controversy erupted after MSBSHSE introduced the "Cast Category" section on the hall tickets of students appearing for the upcoming board examinations. Amid criticism from students, educational experts, and other experts, the board has issued a circular rescinding its initial decision.
New admit cards will be issued.
As per the circular issued, the board has decided to release new Maharashtra Board 2025 admit cards for class 10th and 12th exams. The new hall tickets will be released on January 23.

The official notice reads, "After considering public sentiments, the board has decided to withdraw the Caste Category section from the hall tickets of HSC examinations. New hall tickets will be issued from January 23. This decision is also applicable for SSC examinations and new hall tickets for class 10 students will be issued from January 20 (Monday)."
The MSBSHSE had argued that the new column on the exam tickets was added "to ensure accurate entry of the caste category of students in the general register of their respective colleges and schools." The revised Maharashtra Board exam hall tickets will be available on the official websites.
