New Delhi: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attacked the Delhi administration harshly on Wednesday, saying that central government programs have not been carried out efficiently and that development projects in the nation’s capital have been stalled for the last ten years.
Development is occurring at a very rapid rate in all regions of the nation where PM Modi is in charge of the twin-engine government. Central government programs have not been executed in Delhi, and numerous development projects have been stalled for the last ten years. In Delhi, the Yamuna River has become poisoned; it is no longer safe to bathe there, much less use it as drinking water,” he stated.
Dhami also attacked the Delhi administration of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), saying that important welfare programs like Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and Ayushman Bharat have not been carried out. The BJP should replace the ‘AAPda’ in Delhi for better governance, he said, accusing the AAP of not fulfilling its promises.
People in Delhi are not benefiting from the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, and the Ayushman Bharat initiative has not been implemented. The AAP made lofty promises but has not kept them. They would not fulfill any of the promises they have made so far, he said. “Aapda should be ousted and the BJP should take over (in Delhi) in the coming days.”
On February 5, Delhi will have elections, and on February 8, the results will be tallied.
In Delhi, a three-way race between the Congress, BJP, and governing AAP is anticipated. The Congress, which ruled Delhi for 15 years in a row, has lost both of the most recent assembly elections and has not been able to secure any seats.
In the 2020 assembly elections, the AAP won 62 of 70 seats, while the BJP only managed eight.
