India’s New Delhi, January 22, “Great white-ball cricketers” Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were praised by former cricketer Mohammad Kaif. In a video posted on his YouTube page, Kif was speaking.

Kaif said that Virat and Rohit would be essential to Team India in the next Champions Trophy 2025.

In 2008, Kohli played his first match in the ODI format against Sri Lanka. Since then, he has amassed an incredible 13906 runs at a strike rate of 93.54 from 295 50-over contests. His average is 58.18 as well. In the meanwhile, Rohit faced Ireland in his first ODI game in 2007. The captain amassed 10866 runs at an average of 49.16 and a strike rate of 92.43 in 265 ODIs.

Since both Virat and Rohit are in their late 30s, Kaif said on his own YouTube channel that they won’t be playing for very long. The two seasoned Indian batsmen will be a huge asset to the Men in Blue team in the 2025 Champions Trophy, he said.

“Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are essential. Kohli is 36 years old, while Rohit is 37. It will be a long time before they play again. Support them and pray for them. Both of them play excellent white ball. It will be a long time before they play again. I think they’ll do well. They will make a significant contribution to the Champions Trophy in the near future. You will win the matches in Dubai if they perform properly. Rohit Sharma gets things going quickly. “That start is exploited by Virat Kohli,” Kaif said on his own YouTube page.

The ICC Champions Trophy, which will take place from February 19 to March 9, is the most recent test that Team India faces. Pakistan and the UAE will host it, while India will use a hybrid format to play its matches in the UAE.

The eight-team competition will be place in Dubai and around Pakistan, with 15 fifty-over matches.

On February 23, the tournament’s most important encounter between bitter rivals India and Pakistan will take place. On February 20, India will launch their assault against Bangladesh. On March 2, India will play their last league game against New Zealand. Every game for the team captained by Rohit Sharma will take place in Dubai.

Rohit Sharma (C), Shubman Gill (VC), Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul (WK), Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Arshdeep Singh, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rishabh Pant, and Ravindra Jadeja are the members of the Indian team for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy.
