"Constitution can't be saved by saying 'Samvidhan Bachao'": BRS' Kavitha lashes out at Rahul Gandhi
Yadadri Bhuvanagiri (Telangana), January 22 (ANI): Bharat Rashtra Samithi MLC Kavitha Kalvakuntla, lashing out at Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition, Rahul Gandhi, said that the constitution cannot be saved by "roaming around with the book" or saying "Samividhan Bachao."Kavitha accused the Congress government in Telangana of attacking BRS party offices and its leader, emphasising the need to implement it first. "The Constitution cannot be saved by simply saying, 'Samvidhan Bachao'. It has to be implemented. You are attacking the BRS party office and ex-MLAs, and not implementing the 42% reservation for the BCs. You cannot save the Constitution by just roaming around with the book," Kavitha said. She futher alleged that Telangana CM Revanth Reddy is "encouraging" BRS leaders to join Congress and urged Rahul Gandhi to "react" to the situation. "We welcome Rahul Gandhi to Hyderabad and he should see what is happening... Your CM is openly encouraging the BRS leaders to join the Congress. We have filed a petition in the Supreme Court against it. Rahul Gandhi must also react to this when he comes to Telangana," MLC Kavitha said.Earlier, Union Minister G Kishan Reddy also slammed Rahul Gandhi and said that he has no right to come to the state of Telangana and that if any government has worked against the constitution, it is the Congress government."If any government has worked against the constitution, it is the Congress government... There is no danger to the Constitution in Telangana and the nation. The government under the leadership of PM Modi is strengthening the Constitution of India... Before coming to Telangana, he (Rahul Gandhi) should talk about the promises that they made to the public of Telangana...Rahul Gandhi has no right to come to Telangana," said G Kishan Reddy while speaking to ANI.In the past, Rahul Gandhi has accused the BJP government of 'undermining the constitution.' "The people who are in power today do not salute the tricolour, do not believe in the national flag, and do not believe in the Constitution. They have a completely different vision of India than we do," Rahul Gandhi said during the inauguration of the Congress' new headquarters 'Indira Bhawan on January 15. (ANI)
