‘Chhaava’, starring Vicky Kaushal, released the first look poster for Rashmika Mandanna, who will portray Maharani Yesubai in the movie.
‘Chhaava’, Vicky Kaushal’s historical drama, is one of the year’s most anticipated films. A few days after revealing the movie’s release date, the filmmakers have now shared the “Geetha Govindam” actress’s first appearance on Instagram.
Rashmika seems regal on the image, wearing a red saree and a lot of jewelry. In the movie, her character would be Maharani Yesubai. On February 14, the film is scheduled to be released in theaters.
The Maratha monarch Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, also known as Chatrapati Maharani of the Maratha Kingdom, was married to Maharani Yesubai.
The actress displayed a variety of facial expressions in the set of pictures. Rashmika is shown grinning in the first picture and seeming upset and devastated in the second.
Maddock Films revealed the trailer’s release date on their Instagram account.
“A queen with unrivaled power stands behind every great monarch. Presenting @rashmika_mandanna as Swarajya’s pride, Maharani Yesubai. Tomorrow, #ChhaavaTrailer will be released! “Releasing in theaters on February 14, 2025,” Maddock Films noted under the poster.
In the forthcoming epic story “Chhaava,” Vicky will play Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna are also featured in the Maddock Films-produced and Laxman Utekar-directed movie.
‘Chhaava’ is advertised as the “stirring tale of the courageous warrior whose coronation on this day in 1681 marked the beginning of a legendary reign.”
“I am incredibly proud to tell the story of India’s Chhaava through a film that honors the indomitable legacy of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj,” stated Dinesh Vijay, the producer of Chhaava and the founder of Maddock Films, in response to being involved with the movie.
His narrative is long overdue for the big screen; he was a visionary leader and a great fighter. Being able to bring this compelling story to life is a true honor for Maddock Films, which is making its first foray into the historical epic genre.
“Chhaava honors a legend whose bravery, tenacity, and leadership have inspired generations; it is more than simply a movie. We want to honor this legendary figure’s amazing legacy with our film,” he said.
