Actress Vibhuti Thakur , last seen in Saas Maa, Bahu Beti Hoti Hai, has secured another noteworthy role. She is set to join Rajan Shahi ’s popular show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai in a pivotal role. A source associated with the production reveals, “Vibhuti will step into the show as Shivani Poddar, the mother of Armaan (played by Rohit Purohit ). Shivani’s character comes with a layered backstory. Following a tragic incident years ago, she distanced herself from her family for nearly two decades. Her return is poised to create significant twists and turns in the narrative.”

While the actress has confirmed her participation, she is keeping specifics about her character under wraps. She shares, “Yes, I am joining the cast of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and have already begun shooting. At this point, I can only disclose that I will portray Shivani. My character believes Roop Kumar (played by Siddharth Shivpuri ) is her son, but the truth is, she is actually Armaan’s mother.”

Vibhuti, known for her roles in Tera Yaar Hoon Main, Doli Armaanon Ki, Chandra Nandini, Sasural Genda Phool, and Faltu, is thrilled to join Rajan Shahi’s esteemed production house. She says, “I have immense respect for Rajan Sir and his creative vision. Working with him has always been on my wish list, and I am delighted that the opportunity has finally come. Being a part of such a legendary and long-running show is truly an honour.”

The actress is equally excited about reuniting with Shruti Ulfat, her former co-star from Mujhse Kuchh Kehti...Yeh Khamoshiyaan. She says, “Shruti is a brilliant actress and an exceptional co-star. It’s an absolute joy to share the screen with her once again.” Vibhuti signs off with a smile.



The show, which has been on air since 2019, features Samridhii Shukla as the female protagonist, Alka Kaushal, Rahil Azam, and Sandeep Rajora among others.
