A tragic fire accident occurred in the Grand Kartal Hotel in the Bolu Mountains of Turkey. The flames were so intense that people started jumping from the hotel windows to save their lives. The fire was so terrible that people tried all means to get out of the hotel.

Sheets were hanging on the windows of the hotel. The hotel was made of wood, due to which the fire started spreading rapidly. In this accident, 76 people died in the fire and many people were injured. According to Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, 238 guests were staying in this hotel. After the fire accident, President Tayyip Erdogan has declared Wednesday as a national day of mourning.

Omer Sakrak, a staff of a neighboring hotel who was present at the time of the incident, told about the horrifying scenes of the incident. The man said that the hotel building has a total of 12 floors. According to news agency Reuters, the man said that when the fire broke out in the hotel, everyone started jumping in panic to save their lives. People were so scared that one person jumped down from the 11th floor of the hotel. Another person, Mevlut Ozer, said that the incident of the massive fire was exactly like a catastrophe.

In just half an hour, the fierce flames of the fire engulfed the hotel. Everything started burning and people's screams became louder. The man told that on the third floor, people were hanging from many sheets. When a person tried to get out with the help of a sheet, it suddenly burst. Unfortunately, the person who came down with the help of the sheet fell down head first.

From inside the hotel, a father was pleading for help to save the life of his one-year-old child. The father was crying and saying that I will throw my child down, if I don't do this then he will burn in these flames. After investigation, the police have arrested 9 people in this case. This incident happened when after school holidays, many families from Istanbul and Ankara go to Bolu mountains to ski.
