A woman who recently moved to the UK has taken to to share her bemusement with certain British cultural quirks.

Katherine began by hilariously slamming a famous fellow - Paddington Bear. Alongside a snap of herself taken at the London Underground station of the same name, she remarked:"The obsession with Paddington - I can't stand that bear and everything related to it. I'm sorry I just can't."

Furthermore, she voiced her surprise at Brits' complaints about rain, adding: "It almost never rains heavily and to be honest it's refreshing." Whilst the climate is much different here to her homeland, she enthused: "10 out of 10 I love rainbows and wearing my wellies."

Katherine didn't stop there; she went on to question how Brits maintain their politeness, admitting her feisty Greek temperament could no longer handle it: "How can people be so polite and helpful?" she queried.

"My Greek grumpiness can't take it anymore, I want someone to send me to diaolo [what the hell] so I can staniaro [standard]." Lastly, she touched upon the NHS debate, contrary to many British criticisms of the health service.

"The bar is on the floor living in Greece - so many years since our healthcare system collapsed," Katherine revealed. However, she praised her new surroundings: "But being able to access new treatments and medication is amazing. It gives you a sense of security (at least in my case)."

Discussing British food, Katherine admitted her bafflement at the nation's obsession with baked beans: "Can't get how people can eat them when I can't even stand the sight of them," she joked. And she closed by revealing her surprise at the reactions of Britons to her pale complexion. "They're surprised at my whiteness and that I'm not black or exotic-looking," she explained.

Reacting to her issue with Paddington Bear, one British TikTok user defended the beloved character: "Say what you want, but you can't come for Paddington, he's a legend," Nonetheless, Katherine remained unimpressed: "There are so much better fictional characters and cartoons than Paddington, I'm sorry."

Meanwhile, another person humorously hinted that British politeness masks less friendly sentiments: "The politeness is just a social convention to cover the very impolite thoughts. Just imagine we're all grumpy underneath... because we are."

A third person revealed their own expereince of a Greek UK ersident: "I sit opposite a Greek and he's spent all day telling me it's 16C and sunny in Athens right now," they wrote. "He's not built for the eternal frigid darkness of the bleak English midwinter."

Whilst a fourth individual said of the weather issue: "British rain isn't refreshing, it's just a fine mist that makes your hair frizzy for weeks on end and no blue skies." However, Katherine praised: "I love it! My Caucasian hair rarely get frizzy though, they're straight and macaroni like most of the time."
