LPG Gas Cylinder : The continuous increase in the prices of LPG gas has become a matter of concern for the common man. Due to rising inflation and increase in oil prices, the prices of gas cylinders are also increasing, which is affecting the budget of the households. Although the government has planned to give LPG subsidy, but still this expense can become a heavy burden for many families.

For your information, LPG gas prices vary from state to state and city to city. The government is considering various measures so that the common man can get relief.

The government has tried to provide relief especially to the middle and low income families under the LPG gas subsidy scheme. Under this scheme, consumers get subsidy on the purchase of gas cylinders, which reduces their expenses. This scheme is known as “Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana”, which provides LPG gas connections to poor and rural families.

Under this scheme, LPG connections are given to women for free, and gas cylinder prices are reduced through subsidy. This scheme encourages families to use safe and clean fuel, and also has a positive impact on their health.

This not only prevents smoke in the kitchen but also gives women a safe and simple fuel option instead of wood or coal.

Women are getting the biggest benefit of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, because under this scheme LPG gas connections are provided for free. This allows women to use clean and safe fuel in their homes, which reduces their health problems, such as smoke and pollution caused by wood or coal.

Using gas in the kitchen reduces health problems such as asthma, lung diseases and eye irritation. Apart from this, time is also saved as it takes less time to burn LPG gas and it is safer.

This scheme also provides economic independence to women, as they no longer have to collect wood from forests for fuel or face other hardships. Moreover, it improves the standard of living of women in rural areas, and they can focus on other tasks of their family.

Currently, the government is providing a subsidy of Rs 300 to Rs 400 on LPG gas cylinders. This subsidy is transferred directly to the consumer's bank account, which gives them some relief in purchasing the cylinder. The purpose of this subsidy is to reduce the rising prices of LPG gas and provide relief to poor and middle-income group families.

The government has provided this facility on a maximum of 12 cylinders in a year under this scheme. This means that a consumer will get subsidy on 12 cylinders in a year, which helps in reducing their gas cylinder expenses.

Since this subsidy is transferred directly into the bank account, transparency is maintained, and consumers are allowed to avoid any middleman.
