Mikel Arteta has provided an injury update on Myles Lewis-Skelly and Riccardo Calafiori. The duo were spotted in training at London Colney on Tuesday ahead of in the Champions League.

However, unfortunately for the Gunners, at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night, having suffered a knock. Speaking on TNT Sports ahead of the tie, Arteta was quizzed on the Hale End graduate's omission from the matchday squad.

The Spaniard said: "He could not finish the training session yesterday unfortunately. He had an incident during the match against Aston Villa and so he could not finish the session."

Then, on Calafiori, who has returned to the bench after a brief period on the sidelines, Arteta added: "The same with Ricci as well, . Adapt again like we have done all season and have some freshness in the team which i think is important as well."

Ethan Nwaneri has also returned to the matchday squad.
