Axel Rudakubana has been removed from court after shouting and telling the judge: 'I need a paramedic'.

Merseyside Police says that reports claiming the 18-year-old was taken to hospital this morning are incorrect.

There were claims the triple murderer was taken to hospital in the early hours of Thursday morning hours before his sentencing hearing at Liverpool Crown Court today.

The Southport killer when he receives his punishment on Thursday.

Rudakubana turned to a dock officer as the opening note was read at his sentencing and said: "I'm not fine, I feel ill."He shouted repeatedly: "I need to speak to a paramedic, I feel ill."

He added: "You're not giving me any support judge, I feel ill."

Stan Reiz KC, Rudakubana's lawyer, has told the court that those at the prison were concerned about his wellbeing last night.

The court then heard he has not eaten for "a number of days".

"I can't continue with this!" Rudakubana reportedly shouted.

Mr Justice Goose said he has been reassured Rudakubana was fit to attend and the court would continue until 1pm when there would be a break.

The judge told him: "Shouting from the dock is not going to make this happen any quicker.

"You have chosen this moment to say that, as the hearing starts."

Rudakubana shouted back: "It's not my fault. I'm in pain, judge, I dont care."

As he continued to shout "don't continue", the judge ordered him to be taken out of court as the prosecutor continues to open the case.

Rudakubana was 17 when he murdered three girls at a Taylor Swift-themed class in July.

He entered the dock at Liverpool Crown Court wearing a grey tracksuit and surgical mask. He immediately sat and put his head down onto his knees.

He did not respond at all when asked to confirm his name.

An intermediary sat in the dock next to him.

More than 30 members of the victims' families sat in the public gallery of the dock for the sentencing hearing and the court heard there were others in an annexe.

Twelve members of the media were in court, with others in an overspill and more than 70 people watching on a link.
