In 2023 Sandeep Reddy Vangas film Animal created ripples across the film industry. However rather than Ranbir Kapoors role it was Bobby Deol who grabbed the limelight. Deol who portrayed the antagonist in the film earned widespread acclaim for his performance. Following Bobbys portrayal of the villain audiences began to take a keen interest in such characters. Later other films such as Kanguva Devara and others also showcased vivid depictions of villains. Now another actor is set to make a powerful comeback—not as a hero but as a villain.
Interestingly the actor in question will return to the big screen after three years. His last film was released in 2022. While the movie was a massive success the actor didn’t receive the recognition he deserved. If you still can’t guess who we’re talking about let us tell you—it’s Akshaye Khanna. The film being referenced is Drishyam 2. Now Akshaye is all set to portray a villain in his upcoming film.
There was a time when Akshaye ruled the hearts of audiences in the 1990s. Having played a variety of roles—ranging from comic characters to grey shades and lover boys—the actor has showcased his versatility. Now he is ready to captivate audiences once again with his upcoming role in Chhaava. This time Akshaye will be taking on the role of Aurangzeb.
Take a look here:
Recently the makers of the film released the trailer of Chhaava featuring Akshaye’s look. Apart from him the movie also stars Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles.
Akshaye Khanna’s appearance in the film is truly chilling rendering him almost unrecognizable. The fear and intensity on his face as Aurangzeb in Chhaava are striking. He seamlessly embodies the ruthless essence of the character delivering a performance that aligns perfectly with the film’s menacing tone.
Speaking of Chhaavas trailer it is packed with action and blood-soaked sequences. Vicky’s portrayal of a fearless warrior and Rashmika as the steadfast lady of the house have captivated viewers. Directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films Chhaava is set to hit theatres on February 14 2025.
