At the same time, many other things like name, address, date of birth go wrong in the Aadhar card of many people or the card holder has to go to the Aadhar Seva Center to get something updated.

In such a situation, if the officials present at the center ask you for extra money from the fixed fee, then you can complain about them. The fee for every work to Aadhaar is already fixed by the Unique Identification Authority of India i.e. UIDAI. Therefore one should not pay extra money to anyone. So let us know where and how you can complain about such an officer. You can know about this in the next slides…

If you make any update in your Aadhaar card, then you will have to pay a fee as per the rules of UIDAI. In this, you will have to pay up to Rs 50 to update the demographic information. Whereas, if you want to update the biometric information in your Aadhaar card. If yes, then you will have to pay up to Rs 100 for this.

Actually, when you go to the Aadhaar Seva Center to get some updates done in Aadhaar, you have to take an appointment and go on the same day on which you are called. Whereas, officials take money from you and return it to you immediately. Whereas, an officer may ask you for more money even for working. In such a situation you can complain about it.

If any officer present at the Aadhaar center has asked you for more money than the fixed fee, then you can complain about it. You have to dial UIDAI toll free number 1947. Here you have to give all the information. You need to tell them how much extra money you were asked for etc.

After this the person on the call registers your complaint. Then the complaint made by you is investigated. After this, if the things told by you in the investigation are found to be true, appropriate action is taken against that officer. Just keep in mind that if someone asks for more money in the name of updating Aadhaar, do not give it to him and complain about it.
