January 24, Patna The primary suspect in the Nauranga-Jalalpur fire incident in Bihar, Sonu Singh, turned himself in to the Patna Police on Friday and was taken into custody.
Later today, he will appear in court. Raushan Kumar, a close friend of former MLA Anant Singh who has been connected to the issue, was also taken into custody by the police in addition to Sonu Singh.
Two people have been arrested in relation to the event, Barh SDPO Rakesh Kumar said, confirming the progress. Raids are being conducted to find and apprehend other suspects in the case, he said.
To make sure that everyone who is responsible is held accountable, the police are diligently following up on leads.
The incidents took place on Wednesday afternoon in the Patna district’s Nauranga Jalalpur village, which is governed by the Pachmahala police station.
In order to negotiate with the accused Sonu Singh and Monu Singh, former MLA Anant Singh traveled to the area. But the gathering descended into violence, and both sides exchanged gunfire many times.
A guy called Uday Yadav was shot during the altercation and is now being treated at the Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH).
The issue has sparked worries in the neighborhood and highlighted how crucial it is that the authorities respond quickly to avoid further violence.
Three FIRs have been filed at the district’s Pachmahala police station in response to the shooting incident.
The first FIR was filed by the home’s owner, Mukesh Singh, who accused Sonu Singh and Monu Singh of unlawfully occupying his property. Mukesh reportedly sought help when Sonu-Monu allegedly locked the home.
Sonu Singh’s mother, Urmila Devi, accused former MLA Anant Singh and his followers of attacking her home during the altercation and filed a counter-FIR against them.
Sonu Singh, Monu Singh, and his colleagues were the subject of a formal complaint filed by the police. When policemen tried to open Mukesh Singh’s residence during the event, there was a fight with the police, which is mentioned in this FIR.
Villagers claim that a domestic conflict was the incident’s primary reason. Mukesh Singh’s home is said to have been forcefully occupied by the Sonu-Monu gang. After hearing this, former MLA Anant Singh went to the scene to step in with his supporters. But this resulted in a furious altercation between the two parties that turned into random shooting.
