"Fashion is all about change! It is cyclical," says fashion designer Anamika Khanna . Anamika, who has designed clothes for Bollywood stars like Sonam Kapoor , Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif, shares how over the years, fashion in Bollywood is more about having a personal style . "The biggest change I see in Bollywood fashion is how actors are investing in creating their own personal style and not following a generic trend. I like that every actor or actress has his or her own personal style and that's a welcome change."

The designer shared further, "Indian fashion on the red carpet is a good amalgamation of the east and west. Everyone is inspired from the west and nothing wrong about it, but now we see a good mix when it comes to Indian celebs on the red carpet abroad. It is not just about western garments but how well you imbibe the Indian culture and heritage in it."

Ask her what are the three important items in a woman's closet and she said, "I feel everyone has their own personal style but a white shirt, a blue jeans and a sari is a must-have for every woman."

At an event, where the designer recently launched a tote-bag collection for an international coffee chain in Mumbai, shared, "Tote-bags are as important as any other accessory or garment on an individual so I don't consider them separate when I sit down to design for a woman. A tote-bag or a purse are a part of a woman's personality. And here too, we thought of bringing the Mumbai element in it."
