ICC announced Men's Test Team Of The Year on Friday, Indian players Jasprit Bumrah, Yashasvi Jasiwal & Ravindra Jadeja were named in all star XI. The team also included two players from New Zealand, one of them being the remarkable Kane Williamson. Pat Cummins was the only Australian in the team.
Jasprit Bumrah's performance in 2024
In 2024, Bumrah was exceptional, taking 71 wickets at an impressive average of 14.92, making him the leading Test wicket-taker of the year. He claimed 32 wickets during the Border-Gavaskar series against Australia, which India lost by 1-3 adjourning with Player Of The Series award.
Earlier in the year, he shine against England, taking 19 wickets in four matches, including a stunning nine-wicket haul in Visakhapattanam.
Against Bangladesh, he added 11 more wickets in just two games. Although he had a quieter series against New Zealand with only three wickets, his performances against Australia cemented his status as one of cricket's greatest bowlers.
Ravindra Jadeja & Yashasvi Jaiswal's performance in 2024
In 2024, Jadeja had a solid all-round performance, scoring 527 runs at an average of 29.27 and taking 48 wickets at an excellent average of 24.29.
Jaiswal emerged as a top Test opener and a key player for India's batting lineup. After a tough series in South Africa, he bounced back strongly against England at home, scoring an impressive 712 runs, including two double centuries and three fifties.
The 23-year-old left-hander also carried his form into the debut test series against Australia, were he scored 391 runs for India, including one century and two fifties.
