About 05 thousand women candidates will be directly appointed to the post of contractual conductor in Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation. For the contract of women candidates, it is mandatory for them to be a member of Uttar Pradesh National Rural Livelihood Mission and Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission or to have NCC B certificate, State Award and President Award certificate of NSS and Scout Guide Organization.
Giving information, Minister of State for Transport (Independent Charge) Dayashankar Singh said that for recruitment, it is mandatory to have CCC certificate along with intermediate qualification. Women candidates will be directly placed on the post of Contract Operator after determining the merit of the marks obtained in Intermediate. He informed that 5 percent weightage will also be given to women candidates holding NCC B certificate, NSS certificate, State Award of Bharat Scouts and Guides Organization and President's Award certificate over the achievers in Intermediate.
He said that women conductors will be paid at the same rate as the remuneration rates allowed for contract drivers/conductors. The Transport Minister said that women candidates will be appointed in the depots falling under their home district. He informed that a job fair will also be organized on February 06, February 17, February 20, and March 04, 2025 for recruitment to the post of conductor. Noida, Agra, Moradabad, Lucknow, Gorakhpur on 06 February, Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Bareilly, Ayodhya, Varanasi on 17 February, Meerut, Etawah, Hardoi, Devipatan, Azamgarh on 20 February and Saharanpur, Jhansi, Kanpur, Chitrakoot Dham on 04 March. Employment fair will be organized in Banda and Prayagraj areas.
He said that along with the employment fair, different region-wise links for online applications will also be provided on the corporation's website www.upsrtc.com. Verification of certificates will be done both online and offline. According to the information, candidates who fulfill all the criteria will be hired on contract basis. However, the appointed candidates will be given the same criteria as contract drivers and conductors.
