January 24, Patna According to an official on Friday, a man was reportedly burned alive in Pilkhi Gajapati village in the Muzaffarpur district of Bihar over a suspected domestic argument.
Early on Friday morning, Ram Chandra Dubey’s younger son, Sudhir Kumar (30), was killed in an incident. He was reportedly doused with kerosene oil and then set ablaze.
The accused lady, named as Neetu Devi, Sudhir’s sister-in-law, was taken into custody by the police when they hurried to the scene after getting information.
Residents in the area said that Sudhir Kumar was often at odds with his nephew and sister-in-law.
This event was the most recent in a string of disputes that often turned into fights.
Neetu Devi, Sudhir Kumar’s sister-in-law, and his nephew have been listed as suspects in this case.
To determine the precise reason for the altercation and the events leading up to Sudhir Kumar’s death, the police are looking into the case.
After recovering the corpse, the district police transported it to Sadar Hospital for a post-mortem.
The ‘Mukhiya’ of Pilkhi Gajapati Panchayat, Pragya Kumari, claims that Sudhir Kumar has a history of substance abuse and mental instability.
Sudhir often sold his property when intoxicated. This would cause arguments with his family members, which would often turn into violent altercations, according to Pragya Kumari.
According to the villagers, Sudhir and his sister-in-law, Neetu Devi, and her son had regular arguments.
The confrontation on Friday morning could have been influenced by these long-standing tensions.
The event was verified by Muzaffarpur Rural SP Vidya Sagar, who said: “A young man from Pilkhi Gajapati village in the Sakra police station area was killed.” His corpse, half burned, was found in the village. According to the father of the dead, his son was burned alive. While the nephew is still at large, the victim’s sister-in-law has been taken into custody.
The police have promised that they are working to capture the fugitive.
