Gorakhpur-Prayagraj Vande Bharat Train Schedule Change

The Gorakhpur-Prayagraj Vande Bharat Express (train number 22549/50) will not operate all the way to Prayagraj between 27th January and 4th February 2025. Due to the Maha Kumbh Mela and the expected large crowds from events like Mauni Amavasya and Basant Panchami, there will be significant changes in train operations.
Key Changes:
- The Gorakhpur-Prayagraj Vande Bharat Express will terminate at Lucknow during this period.
- The train will not continue to Prayagraj as originally scheduled.
- The train will only run between Gorakhpur and Lucknow, with the route to Prayagraj cancelled for the mentioned dates.
Other Changes in Train Operations:
- The 12275 Prayagraj-New Delhi Express will run till Subedarganj on 28th, 30th, 31st January and 2nd, 4th February.
- Similarly, the 12276 New Delhi-Prayagraj Express will terminate at Subedarganj on 27th, 29th, 31st January, and 1st, 3rd February.
Special Trains for Devotees:
- Five Kashi Tamil Sangamam special trains will be operated for devotees during this period.
- Train 06193 will depart from Chennai Central on 13th February, reaching Chivki by 15th February at 2:40 AM, before heading to Banaras.
- The return journey will begin from Prayagraj on 19th February at 2 AM and reach Chennai Central on 20th February at 11:45 PM.
- Other special trains will depart from Kanyakumari (06195) and Coimbatore (06187) on specific dates in February.
Sangam Passenger Train Changes:
- The Prayagraj Sangam-Kanpur Anwarganj Passenger (54101) will depart from Phaphamau Railway Station instead of Prayagraj Sangam on 27th, 28th, 29th, and 30th January at 4:20 PM.
- The Kanpur Anwarganj-Prayagraj Sangam Passenger (54102) will also run to Phaphamau station on the same dates.
These changes are implemented to manage the crowds effectively during the Maha Kumbh and ensure smooth train operations.
