A Supernatural Mystery Thriller Vikrant Rona directed by Anup Bhandari stars Sudeepa in the titular role and features Jacqueline Fernandez. This action thriller is set in a remote village surrounded by a dense tropical rainforest. The story revolves around Inspector Vikrant Rona who arrives in the village to investigate a series of mysterious and unexplainable events which the locals attribute to supernatural forces. As he delves deeper into the investigation he uncovers a web of secrets that keep the audience guessing until the very end. Released in 2022 the film became a massive success across the country. The film was initially scheduled for release in 2021 but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Finally it premiered in July 2022 and quickly became the fourth highest-grossing Kannada film of all time. It also earned the title of being the third highest-grossing Kannada movie of 2022. The satellite and digital rights of the film were purchased by Zee Kannada and ZEE5 respectively. The film was made on a budget of Rs 95 crores and grossed Rs 210 crores during its entire run making it a commercial hit. Vikrant Rona was dubbed in multiple languages including Tamil Hindi Telugu Malayalam and English and released across 3000 screens worldwide. The film also stars Milana Nagaraj Nirup Bhandari and Neetha Ashok. The songs and background music for the movie were composed by Music Director B. Ajaneesh Loknath. The music rights of the movie are owned by Lahari Music and T-Series.
