Eberl now appears to have done just that. On Wednesday night, after Bayern's 3-1 win over Slovan Bratislava, the club's sporting director updated the German media on the player's future.

"We spoke in December, and Mathys said he wanted to establish himself. Now he says he wants to leave."

He continued: "There's no bad blood. I can understand him. I've rarely had so many clubs call me about a player before."

Sky Germany reports that Arsenal, Chelsea, and Spurs are all in contact with the player's agent, Gadiri Camara. They also acknowledge that more than one of those teams has approached Bayern about Tel, which the Blues are understood to have done.

On top of Eberl's stance, the German giants are reputedly considering allowing Tel to leave permanently or on loan. That means the forward may have made his final appearance for Bayern on Wednesday night.

Asked whether that was the case after they beat Bratislava, Tel told Sky Germany: "I don't know". The France under-21 international started that match and played for over an hour before being substituted during the second half, with compatriot Kingsley Coman coming on to score Bayern's third on the night.
