1. Change in LPG prices

On the first of every month, LPG prices are revised across the country. Oil marketing companies update the prices of LPG cylinders. In such a situation, it remains to be seen whether the prices of LPG cylinders will be reduced or increased on the day of the budget. Let us tell you that the change in cylinder prices affects the pocket of the common man. Let us tell you that on January 1, oil marketing companies had reduced the rate of 19 kg commercial cylinder.

2. Rules related to UPI

There is going to be a big change in the rules related to UPI once again. The National Payments Corporation of India has decided to block some UPI transactions. A circular was also issued in this regard. The new rules will come into effect from February 1, 2025. From next month, transactions with IDs made of special characters will not be accepted from February 1. According to NPCI, from February 1, only alphanumeric characters (letters and numbers) will be used in the transaction ID. If a transaction ID other than this is generated, the payment will fail.

3. Maruti cars will be expensive

Keeping in mind the rising input costs and operating expenses, the country’s largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has announced to increase the prices of different models of its cars by up to Rs 32,500 from February 01 this year. The models whose prices will increase include Alto K10, S-Preso, Celerio, Wagon R, Swift, Dzire, Brezza, Ertiga, Eeco, Ignis, Baleno, Ciaz, XL6, Fronx, Invicto, Jimny and Grand Vitara.

4. Changes in banking rules

Kotak Mahindra Bank has informed its customers about the upcoming changes in its general facilities and charges, which will be effective from February 1, 2025. These include revisions in the free ATM transaction limit and updated fees for various banking services.
