India News, Crime News: A 30-year-old woman was allegedly raped and acid was thrown on her in front of her two children in Assam's Cachar district. Police gave this information on Wednesday . It is being told that this incident happened on January 22. The 28-year-old accused is the neighbor of the victim, who broke into her house. According to the police, there was an altercation between the two, during which the victim scolded her neighbor. A few hours later, the accused broke into the woman's house when her husband was out of the house.
When the victim's husband returned home, he found his wife on the floor with her mouth, hands and feet tied. Officials said that an acid-like substance was also poured on her body. Giving information on this entire matter, the officials said that the woman was taken to Silchar Medical College and Hospital, where her condition is critical. The accused is currently absconding. On the other hand, the victim's husband has filed a case of sexual harassment and the police are searching for the accused. It is being told that the police officers are waiting for the medical report. Whether the woman was raped or not will be confirmed only after the report comes.
